I've been wondering if I would see one of these this summer and then last night one barged in around 10:00 pm on the eve of what is a glorious day, the warmest of the year since April. It is one of the few moths I can pick on sight, with its distinctive Y shape on the wings, as the Silver Y (plusia gamma).
