busy night (and following morning)

For starters this moth was sitting on the windown sill ... looking rather battered but gone by this morning.









This guy is on the back of the bathroom door. A very similar moth was also downstairs. While I was still trying to get a half reasonable photograph of this guy something else flew in. I took a few photos of it resting on the ceiling beside the light fitting.




By this morning it had moved to the other side of the room but was still happily posing for photographs. The morning ones, without the complications of the flash are better so are the ones show here. This one's the Common Emerald (hemithea aestivaria).
