Slow going

The wild and woolly weather has suppressed bug activity. Just occasional visitors and nothing particularly spectacular. Until this morning when the offspring let up a bit of a shriek after spotting something fluttering about in foyer. A large, dark and heavy bodied 'something' was frantically looking for an escape route and my camera isn't up to taking good shots of something in such motion.

For just the briefest moment which I couldn't capture adequately it stopped, gave me an upper side of its wings and then set off again. I hadn't the heart to keep it cooped up, probably doing itself damage in trying to find a way out.
